MANY HANDS, ONE PARISH: THANK YOU!
As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another
(1 Peter 4:10)
As we gather this Thanksgiving weekend with grateful hearts, we give thanks to God for the many blessings He has bestowed upon our families and parish community. Among those blessings are the generous men, women and families who prayerfully share their time, talents and gifts in service to Christ and His Church.
Our Ministry Fair was a beautiful opportunity to celebrate the many ways God is at work throughout people of our Parish. Whether or not you joined us, our recent parish ministry fair was a reminder that everyone has a place in our parish life. More than 20 ministries, including several new ones, welcomed Parishioners, filling the fair with energy, conversation, and a spirit of service.
More than 300 parishioners expressed interest in volunteering with various Ministries and Catholic Organizations - a response that reflects how people care for our parish and one another. Ministry Coordinators are reviewing responses and beginning to connect with each person. Because ministries have different needs, and some roles require additional steps - especially those involving children or older adults - these Conversations may take time.
If you have not yet heard from someone, please know your willingness to serve is valued and has not been forgotten. We are grateful for your patience as these connections are made. If you Have not been contacted by the end of October, please call the parish office at (416) 445- 1760.
The fair was a success, but the invitation continues. Whether you attended and are still discerning or could not be there, you are invited to explore where you might feel at home. Whatever your gifts, interests, or experience, there is a place for you in our parish. Heartfelt thanks to every Ministry Coordinators and volunteers whose preparation, hospitality, and hard work made the fair possible, and to every parishioner who listened, asked questions, offered encouragement, or considered a new way to participate.
We look forward to seeing these expressions of interest grow into service, new friendships, and deeper relationships. Every act of generosity helps build a vibrant parish community where all belong.
May the Lord bless you and your families abundantly for your faithful service. With grateful hearts, we thank you for being a vital part of our parish family. May God bless our parish, our ministries and all who generously give of themselves in service to Christ and his Church. Wishing you and your loved once a Happy Thanksgiving.
