Blessing of Pets - JUBILEE OF ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI

Sunday, October 4, 2:30 pm

In 2026, the Catholic Church celebrates the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi, one of the Church’s most beloved saints and a profound witness to humility, peace, simplicity, and love for all of God’s creation. This special Franciscan jubilee invites us to look again at our relationship with creation and to recognize the goodness of God reflected in the world around us.

In the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, on his feast day, our parish will celebrate a Blessing of Pets on Sunday, October 4th at 2:30 pm on the parish grounds. Bring your beloved pets as we give thanks to God for the gift of creation and ask His blessing upon our animals and all who care for them.

“Praised be You, my Lord, with all Your creatures.”

- St. Francis of Assisi
